Corn – canned or frozen can be used in this recipe

Milk – whole milk is recommended

Cream Cheese

Butter – use unsalted butter to allow you to control the flavor

Sugar – this can be omitted, but it adds great flavor

Green chilies – the peppers give a bit of spiciness and flavor.

Black Pepper

How to Make Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

This recipe for slow cooker creamed corn could not be easier. Simply add corn, milk, sugar, cream cheese, butter, and green chilies (if using) and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours or on LOW for 4-5 hours.

  • 1 Slow cooker
  • measuring cups

Ingredients
  

  • 2 (15 oz) cans corn, drained*
  • ¾ c milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, sliced
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • `1 can green chilies or jalapeños** optional
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp fresh ground pepper

Instructions
 

  • Add corn, milk, sugar, pepper, and green chilies (if using) to the slow cooker.
  • Top with cubed cream cheese and butter slices.
  • Heat on HIGH for 2-3 hours or LOW for 4-5 hours. Stir well and enjoy!

Notes

*A 32 oz bag of frozen corn can be substituted, add at 30 minutes to the total cook time.
**Fresh seeded and diced jalapeños can be used in place of canned. Use 2-4 peppers depending on your heat preference.
